Overview Join to apply for the Senior Product Manager (m/f/d) role at Munich Re. This role will be part of the Enterprise Architecture Tower for Group Technology, driving the overarching Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategy to support business agility and growth across Munich Re Group. Responsibilities Streamline operations along strategic SDLC products. Seamless and secure migration from non-strategic SDLC tools to the Golden Path / Pathways. Successful adoption of GitHub Copilot with measurable productivity gains. Ensure all relevant IT controls are implemented and monitored across SDLC products in your scope. Improve developer experience, governance, and release efficiency across teams. Demonstrate data‑driven improvement in engineering outcomes. Roll out GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Copilot across all engineering teams, including licensing, onboarding, and adoption strategy. Define and execute product roadmaps, including integrations, automation, and process improvement. Partner with SDLC Teams and Security to define standardized SDLC processes (branching, code review, release management, etc.). Implement and monitor all relevant IT controls across GitHub, ADO, and related DevOps tooling—ensuring compliance with internal and external audit standards. Establish strong governance and compliance frameworks (repository access, secrets management, code scanning, and audit logging). Define and track KPIs for engineering efficiency, tool adoption, and release quality. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on developer experience and platform performance. Communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications 7+ years of Product Management experience, including 3+ years in DevOps, developer platforms, or engineering productivity. Good understanding of GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot, and Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards). Proven experience managing tool migrations (ADO → GitHub preferred). Strong understanding of IT controls, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and modern SDLC best practices. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional leadership skills. Experience defining and tracking engineering productivity and DevOps performance metrics. Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, OpenTofu). Ability to estimate the business, risk and financial impacts of architecture alternatives. Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of existing, new and emerging technologies that enable and drive new business designs and models.
