Responsibilities Show initiative in defining a need for the business, sourcing, quoting and leading negotiations in line with company demand Be able to influence decision making with both internal and external stakeholders Be the point of contact between suppliers and internal customers Working closely with internal stakeholders and the Purchasing Manager to understand the business requirements and help to translate into a sourcing strategy Lead the sourcing of fabricated and CNC components to both UK and LCC suppliers Resolving urgent component shortages Running MRP on a regular and timely basis Negotiating with suppliers to achieve cost reduction targets Resolving all invoice queries Ensuring all part records are kept up to date with latest prices / volume discounts etc Resolving any delivery discrepancies promptly and working with suppliers to minimise future discrepancies Dealing with any other ad-hoc enquiries as the role requires Adherence at all times to the published Company Procedures To understand and comply with the Company`s Quality Statement To meet deadlines as required Maintain the Company Image whilst representing the Company Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others at all times Position Requirements Completed commercial or technical training (associate degree) At least 3 years of professional experience in purchasing Good written and spoken English skills, business fluent Good user knwoledge of MS Office products Confident and professional manner AMETEK, Inc. is a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions servinga diverse set of attractive niche markets with annual sales over $7.0 billion.
