We are looking for an enthusiastic Commercial Sales Manager to join our dedicated Offshore Service Sales team. The role provides an opportunity to operate in a dynamic department working on some of the biggest, most complex renewable energy projects in the world; negotiating with customers the financial and commercial outcome of projects, putting together compelling offers, presenting to management and internal stakeholders and ultimately working collaboratively with our customers to grow the wind industry.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. Working on multiple high value service and maintenance contracts at any one time.
2. Working with the Sales Director and Sales Project Manager to develop and drive the sales strategy; subsequently taking the lead on all commercial elements of the process (such as currency risks, financial security, payment terms, insurance, export control, and compliance).
3. Ownership of commercial and financial documents during the sales and bidding process.
4. Developing the negotiation strategy on commercial terms and conditions.
5. Clarification, annotation, mark-upof Terms & Conditions with commercial and financial implications.
6. Leading the negotiation of commercial terms and conditions in coordination with the relevant departments (Legal, Insurance, Trade Finance, Finance, Tax, Export Control & Customs, Operations, Logistics, etc...).
7. Leading commercial evaluation of risks and opportunities facing your projects.
8. Understanding and demonstrating impact of changes on customer business cases for energy projects.
9. Preparation and presentation of project specific sales forecasts and budgets to high-level management, and working with the commercial team to establish and implement efficient processes and best practices.
What You Bring
10. A passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance to lead the change.
11. Knowledge of customer business case, preferably for energy projects.
12. Demonstrable commercial contract management skills including in commercial negotiations, preferably within sales and/or the energy or construction sector.
13. Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
14. An ability to communicate technically complicated topics concisely to high-level management and customers in a high-pressure environment.
15. A good knowledge of cost calculation approaches, finance methods, and commercial financial topics (bonds, escalation, currency, indemnities, liabilities, etc.).
16. Project management skills.
17. Fluency in English, both orally and in writing.
18. International experience and willingness to travel (25%) and work in a global environment.
19. Qualified applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment (no work authorization sponsoring now or in the future), and a degree, preferably in business admin, finance or law.
