E-Commerce Category Manager / Product Manager for Battery & Electronics (Berlin)
Are you passionate about e-commerce, data-driven decision-making, and driving commercial success? At subtel, we are looking for a Category Manager / Product Manager who will play a key role in defining, executing, and optimising our laptop product strategy across multiple channels.
Your tasks will include:
* Developing and executing the laptop category strategy, including assortment selection, pricing, and promotional campaigns.
* Analysing market trends, competitive landscapes, margins, and costs to identify opportunities for category optimization.
* Overseeing new product launches and marketing initiatives across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with corporate OKRs.
* Tracking and reporting on key KPIs (sales, margin, conversion rates, returns), proposing data-driven action plans.
* Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimise inventory management, product listings, and cross-selling — and to implement your category strategies across the whole organisation.
* Taking overall responsibility for the sales and profitability of your product categories, applying data and analytics at every stage.
Our wish list for the ideal candidate includes:
* At least four years of professional experience in Category Management or Product Management, ideally in an e-commerce environment.
* Strong data analysis skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Power Query and Power BI for reporting, analytics, and process automation. Familiarity with Python and SQL is a plus.
* Experience in implementing a pricing strategy or having worked in a dedicated pricing department, with a solid understanding of profitability and ROI.
* A results-oriented mindset and the ability to create and execute action plans based on metrics and insights.
* Excellent communication skills (advanced written and spoken English) and a collaborative spirit, able to coordinate with different departments.
* Exposure to or understanding of B2B sales in an e-commerce context, with an interest in exploring new market segments.
* Flexibility, proactivity, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.
