Lineas is looking for dedicated train drivers (m/f/d) for nationwide deployment in a permanent position. We consider your place of residence when creating your roster.
Your benefits with Lineas
1. As a train driver, you will earn at least €3,400 gross per month for an average of 39 hours per week. Additionally, you benefit from above-average allowances for irregular working hours such as nights, Sundays, and public holidays, which further increase your earnings. The starting salary depends on relevant experience.
2. Along with a permanent employment contract, we offer 28 vacation days per year and the opportunity to earn four additional vacation days through night hours.
3. You will receive an employer contribution to company pension schemes. Additionally, you can use the BahnCard 100 Comfort + City both professionally and privately.
4. Overtime is, of course, paid. As a train driver, you will be provided with high-quality technical equipment, including the latest smartphones, tablets, and modern work clothing. If your assignments take place outside the region, we will arrange appropriate accommodations.

Your tasks
6. Ensuring reliable and safe freight transport on the German rail network
7. Flexible and committed availability for nationwide trips
8. Communicating and informing customers and partners in case of schedule changes
9. Driving in regions like Cologne – Basel or Mannheim – Basel – Mannheim, Mainz – Passau
10. Expect 3–4 overnight stays in hotels during the week
What we expect from you
11. Completed training as a train driver with a German railway company, including certification for freight transport with a European license subclass B2
12. Willingness to quickly acquire any missing qualifications and flexibility for shift work, including night and weekend shifts
13. A sense of responsibility, good German language skills (minimum B2 level), and familiarity with the German rail network
14. Willingness to undergo psychological and medical examinations
