Our client is a leading German technology and electronics specialist, delivering high-quality systems and components for industrial applications across sectors such as energy, automation, aerospace, and medical technology and are now recruiting a strategic buyer to strengthen their indirect procurement team.
With strong engineering expertise and in-house production, the company combines development and manufacturing to provide both tailored solutions and advanced technology modules, building long-term partnerships with demanding customers.
Your Responsibilities
1. Independently manage sourcing activities for technical indirect categories including:
Capital expenditure projects (machinery, production equipment)
Technical services
Operating supplies and auxiliary materials
2. Collaborate closely with internal departments to clarify specifications and technical requirements
3. Select, evaluate and develop suppliers
4. Negotiate offers, contracts and framework agreements
5. Drive supplier consolidation and bundling initiatives
6. Develop and implement category strategies
7. Actively contribute to the optimisation and digitalisation of procurement processes
8. Balance strategic responsibilities with an appropriate operational component
Your Profile
9. Technical or commercial education (e.g. electronics technician, industrial clerk) or degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar
10. Experience in technical or indirect procurement including price and contract negotiations
11. Strong ERP knowledge (SAP preferred) and interest in digital procurement tools
12. Confident communication style with the ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders and external suppliers
13. Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
