Job Scope:
The Product ManagerLocksis responsible fordriving the success of the Product Portfolios and Roadmap with focuson the individually assigned categories like folding locksfor the brands AXA, Trelock and Kryptonite, throughnew Product Development Projects within the bicycle Lock category.
In this role,you'llwork at the intersection of engineering, marketing, and sales to deliver profitable, innovative products to the global bicycle and e-bike market. A core element of this position is project management – driving product development projects from concept to market launch.
As the productowneryouareresponsibleforthe product from the first draft with the pencil till the phase out at the very end of the product life cycle.You are theambassadorof your assigned portfoliotowards internal and external stakeholders andbeable with technicalexpertisetodeterminebusiness potential and drive new project initiatives.
This rolerequires preferablysometechnicalknow howwhich you can combine with a business driven and commercial approach. You work closely with different departments and people in different countries tooptimizetheproductportfolio, andmaximize revenue and margins in your categories.
This role requires up to 25% of national and internationaltraveling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manageyourassignedproduct portfolio, ensuring profitability and growth across all three brands (AXA Bike, Trelock, Kryptonite)
2. Lead and manage product development projects frominitialconcept through to market launch, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-spec delivery
3. Create andmaintainproject plans, including timelines, milestones
4. Analyze market trends, competitors, andcustomerneedstoidentifyopportunities and inform product strategy
5. Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering,suppliers,manufacturing, marketing, sales) to ensure alignment and smooth project execution
6. Develop and execute product strategy, planning, and positioning for assigned product lines across all markets and regions
7. Own product lifecycle management from concept through end-of-life, including roadmap planning and phase-out strategies
8. Define product requirements and specifications in collaboration with engineering team
9. Support design development and ensure products meet quality, cost, and performance targets
10. Prepare and execute product launches, including go-to-market planning, salesand customertraining, and marketing support
11. Monitor product performance (sales, margin, customer feedback) and recommend improvement

19. Vocational/technical qualification (Techniker or Meister) with demonstrable several years' experience in product and project management.
20. 1–3years of experience in productand projectmanagementrole with focuson(electro-)mechanical products
21. First experience around product lifecyclemanagement and development of productportfolio strategies
22. Proven project management experiencewithability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within scope
23. Technical affinity with the willingness to engage deeply with product detailsalso outsideknown areas
24. Knowledgearoundproduct production processes and related supply chains (stamping, coating, molding, heat treatments,etc)
25. Experience in driving ideas from concept to market launch
26. Structured way of working with the ability todocument usecases, requirements, and product specifications
27. Very goodMS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
28. Fluent in English (written and spoken)
