I am currently working with a Global Distributor that is looking to expand their team in the Food Ingredients industry. This position is for a Sales Manager who will cover the Savory segment of the business across Germany.
Responsibilities:
* Represent the company at customer meetings, trade fairs, conferences, and events.
* Provide personal and telephone support along with technical advice for existing customers.
* Acquire new customers and cultivate sustainable, intensive relationships.
* Develop and execute sales promotion and customer loyalty strategies.
* Plan and implement sales activities nationwide in the savory sector.
* Conduct negotiations with customers and suppliers, focusing on technical sales discussions and pricing terms.
* Manage budget and demand planning responsibilities.
* Monitor the market continuously, analyze competition, and derive actionable insights.
* Identify and analyze market trends, developing promising potentials in new and existing applications.
* Create offers and maintain documentation within the CRM system (Salesforce).
Ideal Profile:
* Completed technical, scientific, or commercial studies, or comparable training related to the food industry (e.g., food technology, nutritional science).
* Understanding of the savory market within the Food Ingredients industry.
* Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
* Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 50%) within Germany.
* Relevant experience in sales within the food and nutrition industry; savory sector experience is a plus.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on results.
* High commitment level, independence, structured working style, and solution-oriented approach.
* Knowledge of the distribution business is advantageous.
