Your tasks
* Lead and manage automotive electronics development projects from project initiation through series production and product launch.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams including hardware, software, mechanics, systems engineering, validation, and testing.
* Manage globally distributed development teams and ensure effective communication and collaboration across regions and time zones.
* Define project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project deliverables.
* Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation paths.
* Ensure compliance with ASPICE-aligned development processes and project governance requirements.
* Drive the implementation of functional safety requirements according to ISO 26262 for products up to ASIL C.
* Ensure adherence to automotive cybersecurity requirements and support compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
* Coordinate project planning and execution activities with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
* Lead project reviews, milestone assessments, and management reporting activities.
* Manage change requests and requirement modifications while maintaining project objectives.
* Support the definition and tracking of project KPIs related to quality, cost, timing, and technical performance.
* Facilitate effective collaboration between engineering disciplines and ensure timely decision-making.
* Oversee validation, verification, and product release activities.
* Ensure lessons learned and continuous improvement activities are incorporated into future projects.
Your profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* More than 8 years of experience managing complex development projects within the automotive industry.
* Strong background in embedded systems development with emphasis on software and hardware engineering.
* Experience leading cross-functional projects involving hardware, software, mechanical design, and testing activities.
* Proven experience managing globally distributed engineering teams.
* Solid knowledge of automotive development processes and ASPICE-based project environments.
* Understanding of functional safety principles according to ISO 26262, ideally with experience managing projects up to ASIL C.
* Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity requirements and development practices.
* Strong project planning, budgeting, resource management, and risk management skills.
* Experience with customer-facing project management and stakeholder communication.
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
* Strong analytical and organizational capabilities with a structured and results-oriented working style.
* Excellent communication skills in German and English.
* Willingness to work into functional safety standards IEC 61508 and ISO 26262
* Basic knowledge of reliability engineering
* Preferably good statistical knowledge
* Ability to manage cross cultural teams
* Preferably skills in safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA)
