From Agrupa Global Talent, we are searching for a SHEQ Specialist who is trained occupational safety professional with extensive knowledge in environmental protection, quality assurance, and health protection, ideally combined with expertise in management systems and certifications.
A technical education is advantageous. Ideally, they possess the qualifications and knowledge to serve as an Emissions Protection Officer and a Water Protection Officer. They also have general experience in incident-prone operations.
The SHEQ Specialist is responsible for:
1. Advising the management and site leadership on all aspects of occupational safety, health protection, and environmental protection.
2. Supporting the safety culture by setting an example in line with SHE standards.
3. Ensuring that all company SHEQ standards are implemented.
4. Ensuring that management systems are established and maintained.
5. Overseeing SHEQ reporting and ensuring communication with SHEQ department.
6. Ensuring that all workplaces are assessed with a workplace-related risk assessment and conducting risk assessments for activities not covered by work instructions or operational procedures.
7. Conducting ASA (Occupational Safety Committee) meetings and ensuring the implementation of resulting tasks.
8. Assisting departments in emergencies and bottlenecks by flexibly working in non-core areas as agreed with supervisors.
9. Supporting the planning and execution of maintenance work and ensuring the implementation of additional SHE measures required for such activities.
10. Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements.
11. Managing the "Management of Change" (MoC) procedure and ensuring that all changes are appropriately approved and accompanied by risk assessments.
12. Participating in training measures for other engineers and operators when necessary.
13. Supporting the site manager in all aspects of the work and stepping in when needed.
Duties
1. Ensuring that all work in their area is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and acting as a role model for both external workers and company employees.
2. Conducting facility inspections and advising employees on improving their safety practices.
3. Reporting SHEQ incidents to the site management and higher-level SHEQ functions at Tradebe.
4. Organizing ASA meetings and tracking action items.
5. Monitoring cleanliness and order within the site and coordinating necessary improvements with the responsible department.
6. Conducting workplace and task-related risk assessments and updating them as needed.
7. Maintaining contact with regulatory authorities and ensuring follow-up on outstanding regulatory requirements.
8. Reporting required documents to the authorities in coordination with site management.
9. Developing management systems and preparing audits.
10. Organizing and conducting both internal and external audits.
11. Training employees on all SHEQ topics.
12. Supporting site management in budget preparation.
13. Being available outside normal working hours as needed, including on-call duty.
14. Attending internal and external training sessions as agreed with the supervisor.
