Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning & Scope Definition Identify and prioritize the set of components requiring drawing revalidation based on risk, criticality, and usage frequency. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with engineering and operations leadership. Develop a detailed project plan including timelines, resource allocation, and milestone tracking. 2. Drawing Audit & Validation Lead the systematic review of existing technical drawings to assess compliance with current design standards, tolerances, and manufacturability. Coordinate with design engineers and manufacturing experts to validate drawing accuracy and feasibility for production. Ensure traceability and documentation of all drawing changes and approvals. 3. Cross-Functional Coordination Facilitate collaboration between design, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on drawing updates. Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory bodies. 4. Risk & Change Management Identify potential risks related to outdated or inaccurate drawings and develop mitigation strategies. Manage engineering change requests (ECRs) and ensure proper documentation and communication of changes. Ensure all drawing updates are integrated into the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. 5. Compliance & Standards Ensure all revalidated drawings comply with applicable rail industry standards (e.g., EN, ISO, UNIFE RISL). Support audits and regulatory reviews by maintaining accurate records and traceability. 6. Reporting & Communication Provide regular updates to senior engineering and project stakeholders on progress, risks, and key decisions. Prepare and present project status reports, including KPIs such as number of drawings reviewed, validated, and released. 7. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline the drawing validation process through automation, templates, or standardization. Capture lessons learned and integrate them into future engineering documentation practices. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience: Bacheloru2019s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering. 8 years of experience in engineering project management, preferably in the rail or transportation sector. Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, GD&T, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with PLM systems and engineering change control processes.
