Senior business development and sales manager (m/w/d)

Your responsibilities

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

* Lead the development of strategic customer relationships and build a robust sales pipeline aligned with company growth targets.
* Engage with clients, partners (including OEMs), and internal stakeholders to align project scope, requirements, and value propositions.
* Manage end-to-end sales processes, including bid/no-bid decisions, commercial offer preparation, proposal coordination, and contract negotiation.
o Lead technical and commercial discussions with customers to understand their needs and propose tailored hydrogen infrastructure solutions.
o Develop and coordinate commercial proposals, pricing models, and cost/benefit analyses in collaboration with finance and engineering.
o Manage tender submissions for industrial energy and modular hydrogen infrastructure projects.
o Maintain up-to-date CRM records, documenting all client interactions, proposals, and decision points.
o Ensure a smooth handover of signed deals to project delivery teams through structured transfer mechanisms and continuous support.
* Steer in-depth regional market and customer analysis to support commercial strategy and identify high-quality sales opportunities.
* Ensure monitoring of various tender platforms, news agencies and websites for relevant opportunities in the target sectors.
* Represent LIFTE H2 and px Group at key industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and explore partnership opportunities.
* Foster a culture of entrepreneurial thinking and commercial excellence within the business development function.


Your profile

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE?

Qualifications & Experience

* University degree (engineering, business, or a related field) with the ability to engage competently in technical discussions.
* Proven experience in industrial business development, sales, and customer relationship management in the field of energy/engineering.
* Demonstrated success in complex B2B sales, including managing tenders, bids, and commercial negotiations. EPC contracting experience is a strong advantage.
* Solid understanding of hydrogen, energy, or clean technology markets and end-use sectors.
* Familiarity with project phases such as Pre-FEED, FEED, and construction, as well as EPC delivery models and contract structures.
* Fluent in English and German (written and spoken); additional relevant language skills are a plus.
* Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools, experience with Pipedrive or HubSpot are a plus.
* Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
