Location United Kingdom Homeworking and Teleworking Location Independent Worker Remote vs. Office Remote only Company Siemens Energy Limited Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Sales Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Not defined A Snapshot of Your DayAs an Account Manager for Grid Technologies, responsible for managing key Transmission and Distribution accounts (TSOs), driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the UK and globally. The role requires strong energy sector knowledge, relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to business opportunities. Success depends on co-developing and executing a long-term account plan with the customer.Works closely with Siemens Energy’s global Key Account team, tendering, business development, and internal stakeholders to support a unified strategic partnership.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Develop and lead a comprehensive account plan for a major transmission company, adapting through regular stakeholder reviews. Build strong, long-term relationships by understanding customer needs and aligning solutions accordingly.
2. Represent Siemens Energy professionally to both internal and external stakeholders, promoting a collaborative and customer-focused culture.
3. Drive sales growth across the Grid Technologies portfolio by identifying opportunities, shaping strategies, and meeting targets.
4. Act as the main point of contact for the transmission customer, coordinating communications, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction through consistent engagement.
5. Provide market insights through research and analysis, supporting strategic decisions and identifying areas for growth within major transmission company.
6. Prepare and present tailored proposals and contracts in collaboration with tendering teams, while maintaining accurate records and reporting progress through CRM tools.
What You Bring
7. Solid experience in account management, sales, business development, or project management within the energy sector—ideally in grid technologies or power transmission and distribution.
8. Proven ability to build strong relationships across all levels of large organisations, including senior leadership.
9. Deep understanding of the energy market, particularly the GB&I electricity Transmission System Operator and Utility landscape.
10. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a track record of meeting sales targets and driving growth.
11. Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a wider team.
12. Willing to travel across the UK and occasionally internationally, with proven experience in a similar role.
