I’m currently partnering with an international medical device manufacturer that’s expanding its production footprint in Southern Germany (Weil am Rhein area). They’re looking to bring in a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of site-level planning, materials, and operational flow. This is a proper operational role, not a spreadsheet-only position. You’ll be close to production, close to decision-making, and trusted to shape how the supply chain actually runs day to day.
The role
You’ll manage the end-to-end supply chain for a manufacturing site, covering production planning, materials, logistics, procurement interfaces, and systems. The focus is on building robust processes, improving delivery performance and ensuring capacity and resources are aligned with demand.
You’ll work closely with global supply chain stakeholders and key suppliers, playing an active role in S&OP and long-term planning while still being very present in daily operations.
Key responsibilities
* Own and optimise site-level supply chain operations from planning through to execution
* Lead production and capacity planning, identifying risks and bottlenecks early
* Work hands-on with materials flow, scheduling and operational planning
* Act as the link between the local site and the global supply chain organisation
* Support ERP usage, data quality and process improvements
* Contribute to cross-site initiatives focused on lead time reduction and delivery reliability
Background they’re looking for
* Experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
* Strong exposure to production planning and operational execution
* Background in medical devices, pharma, life sciences or another highly regulated / precision manufacturing industry is a plus
* Confident working with ERP systems and process optimisation projects
* Analytical, structured but pragmatic; someone who enjoys improving how things actually work
* Fluent German and English
