Your Tasks
* Leading terms negotiations, including annual contract negotiations
* Ensuring sales and margin targets for a defined river and promotional product portfolio, as well as refinancing marketing activities
* Developing long-term category strategies with all responsible functions, taking the market environment into account
* Tracking the strategy in cooperation with other functions (including the follow-up of terms agreements, supplier performance, product performance)
* Regular review and optimization of the entire assortment listing using standardized tools (channel-appropriate approach for multichannel / online / marketplace) in alignment with key stakeholders
* Creating forecasts for management purposes
* Identifying optimization potential and verifying conclusions derived from plan vs. actual analysis
* Effective and efficient information management, e.g., by providing essential information for managing performance
* Multichannel (offline/online) responsibility for managing KPIs
Your Profile
* Qualified knowledge in MS Office
* Understanding of the end-to-end category management process
* Experience as a category manager at a comparable retailer/wholesaler – ideally within the IT accessories sector (storage)
* Experienced with market and company data from standard sources such as Nielsen or GFK
* Strong analytical skills and commercial implications
* Ability to communicate in a target-group-oriented manner across functions and departments
* Extensive experience in developing assortment strategies, defining assortment tactics, and successful implementation of an assortment area – full responsibility for the “lifecycle” of a product rang
* Experience with suppliers as well as price and terms negotiations
* Very good command of German (working language) and good English skills (business fluent)
* High level of self-organization and ability to work goal-oriented under time pressure
* Ability to communicate in a target-group-oriented manner across functions and departments
* Ability to build and positively influence relationships at all levels
