We are hiring a Director of Production/Manufacturing and Industrialisation (f/m/d) at our Industrial competence center site in Ulm, where we develop communication solutions for space missions and electrical satellite thrusters. Your mission
* Lead the industrial site with 450 employees and 5 direct reports, focusing on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and strategic industrial transformation.
* Implement the industrial strategy, ensuring safety, competitiveness, and transformation across production and industrialization activities.
* Drive operational performance by managing costs, inventory, CAPEX, and developing key industrial competencies within your team.
* Set and execute strategic and operational goals aligned with the Operating Model and business continuity plans.
* Foster collaboration across Engineering, PE, Supply Chain, and Operations to support industrial performance and Lean transformation.
* Manage site resources, including CAPEX planning, workforce development, and staffing to meet business needs.
We are looking for
* A Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
* Extensive experience in Production, Industrialization, and complex Supply Chains, with international leadership roles.
* Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and methodologies like Toyota Production System, and industrial financial controls (MYB, MTIP).
* Strong leadership, change management skills, and the ability to develop high-performing teams following the Thales Leadership Model.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of stakeholders.
* Expertise in digital tools, continuous improvement, and data-driven problem solving.
* Profound understanding of Supply Chain, industrial planning, and performance metrics.
