Buyer - Procurement (Pharmaceuticals) | 9-Month Contract | Remote Contract Length: 9 Months Location: Fully Remote The Opportunity We are currently partnering with a leading pharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Buyer on a 9-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and contribute to critical supply chain operations supporting life-saving products. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services, while maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, RFQs, negotiation, and purchase order placement Procure raw materials, APIs, packaging, and indirect goods/services in line with business needs Build and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers to ensure quality and continuity of supply Work cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams to ensure compliance with GMP/GxP requirements Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements where needed Identify and mitigate supply chain risks Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement activities Maintain accurate procurement data within ERP systems What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries Strong understanding of GMP/GxP environments Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and attention to detail Desirable Experience sourcing APIs, excipients, or packaging materials CIPS qualification (or working towards) Experience working with global suppliers Why Apply?
