Mainframe Modernization Project Manager - Enterprise Transformation (m/f/d)

About the Role
Join our Elite Mainframe Modernization Team and play a pivotal role in delivering successful enterprise transformation for global clients. As Mainframe Modernization Project Manager, you'll work at the heart of our expert group, collaborating closely with the Solutions Director, Senior Business Developer, and advanced technical resources.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer-Facing Leadership: Act as primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of engagement, communication, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
* Accountability for Milestones & Financial Goals: Drive the management of project milestones and deliverables, maintaining full accountability for deadlines, budgets and financial targets, including margin achievement.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure overall quality and compliance of deliverables with project acceptance criteria agreed with Customer, proactively managing risks and resolving issues to maintain high standards.
* Contributing to Product Innovation: Collaborate with software development and product teams to contribute feedback, requirements, and insights that directly shape new modernization product features.
* Process & Methodology Improvement: Continually improve delivery processes and methodologies, leveraging best practices and lessons learned for efficiency and scalability.
* Resource Management: Lead software developer and technical resources, supporting their growth and productivity, and ensuring strong collaboration across disciplines.
* Sales Pursuit Support: Partner with the Senior Business Developer and Solutions Director during pre-sales and sales pursuits, shaping solutions and proposals for project success.
* Client Engagement: Build trusted relationships and continuously gather insights to inform both project delivery and future opportunity development.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience managing large-scale mainframe migration/modernization projects.
* Track record of customer-facing leadership optimizing satisfaction and engagement.
* Expertise in managing financial targets, project plans, and deliverables.
* Deep understanding of project quality standards and acceptance management.
* Strong contributor to product feature innovation and delivery process improvement.
* Ability to manage and motivate global, cross-functional technical teams.
* Commercial, negotiation, and communication skills at the executive/client level.
* Bachelor's or Master's in IT, Engineering, Business, or related field.
