We are part of the Global Payments team. This role sits in the Bank Payments Product team – this team oversees PayPal's global bank payments products. facilitating billions of transactions critical for the success of the company
Your way to impact
This role involves managing the product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring our banking products meet market needs, regulatory standards, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Your day-to-day
1. Product Strategy: Define and communicate a clear product vision/strategy for Banking products, aligning with company objectives and market trends.
2. Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept validation to launch and post-launch optimization.
3. Market and Industry Insights: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for new product features and enhancements.
4. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, design, compliance, marketing, and sales teams, to ensure successful product delivery.
5. User-Centric Approach: Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring that product features are aligned with user needs and regulatory requirements.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all products adhere to relevant Banking and payments regulations, and other applicable standards.
7. Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance through data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs), using insights to drive continuous improvement.
8. Roadmap Management: Create and manage a product roadmap that balances strategic initiatives, technical constraints, and customer feedback.
9. Partner Management: Engage with external partners, including banks, fintechs, and payment networks, to drive integration and partnership opportunities.
10. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in product delivery and develop mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and quality product launches.
What do you need to bring
11. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
12. Experience: 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on Banking, payments preferred
13. Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Bank payments, its standards, payment ecosystems, APIs, and regulatory environments in the EU region
14. Technical Skills: Familiarity with APIs, integration, and cloud-based services. Ability to understand technical concepts and work closely with engineering teams
15. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform product decisions
16. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
17. Project Management: Proven track record of managing complex projects and product launches, with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
18. Customer Focus: Passion for delivering great user experiences and an advocate for customer needs
19. Leadership: Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
