MECHANICAL ENGINEER is required by our client, a project solutions provider, to be assigned on a contract basis, located in Richland, Washington.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify and recommend upstream storage improvements supporting a 30% increase to Richland Horn Rapids Roads (HRR) operations NLT 2030.
* Identify and recommend ceramics (domestic and international requirements) processing improvements supporting a 30% increase to Richland HRR operations NLT 2030.
* Identify and recommend Rods, Bundles, and Cages improvements supporting a 30% increase to Richland HRR operations NLT 2030.
* Develop draft design plan for facility workshops (upstream storage, ceramics, rods, bundles, & cages) assigned.
* Identify and develop action plans for project milestones.
* Identify and develop risks for resolution.
* Refine study scope for areas of assignment (upstream storage, ceramics, rods, bundles, & cages).
* Identify equipment obsolescence and equipment reaching end of useful life.
* Identify and provide recommendations to improve existing equipment for upgrade/replacement.
* Identify schedule requirements and milestones to ensure study completion.
* Provide courses of action and recommendations, helping to inform project roadmap.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
* 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial, manufacturing, or process-driven environments.
* Experience supporting facility expansions, production capacity increases, or equipment modernization initiatives.
