With around 550 employees, we have been manufacturing high-quality plastics and chemical products at our Leuna site for 30 years – from basic materials such as phenol and ammonium sulfate to technical plastics for the automotive, electronics, and industrial sectors. Key accountablities

Job Mission:

Within Engineering Materials organization, the Automotive segment is a fundamental contributor of the strategy of the company by providing highly advanced materials to our customers and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer).

Under the responsibility of the head of sales Automotive, you will be in charge of German key customers and develop your portfolio, with the following main missions:

Your Responsibilities:

1. Define and/or deploy the commercial plans, programs and activities:

Develop and execute accounts plans, including forecast

Coordinate order to ensure a coherent and commercial market and customer offering

Develop forecast at the appropriate level of accuracy to enable inventory management, financial performance, and service level achievement at customers

2. Manage customers:

Maintain updated information about the customers and competitors within assigned perimeter and provide regularly local marketing information to Sales Manager and Marketing team.

Develop and manage a portfolio of German customers

Plan and lead contract negotiations and close deals (product choice, pricing, service)

Manage customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction

Develop a new customer portfolio within your region

3. Prospecting targets will be agreed with the management.


4. Manage pricing and contracts:

Manage proactively pricing targets.

Manage credit management and cash collection issues.

5. Manage products and innovation.

Qualifications and skills

6. Strong client-facing and communication skills

7. Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills

8. Excellent knowledge of sales management methods and techniques

9. Proficiency in English and in German

10. Working knowledge of customer service databases and tools

11. Awareness of Engineering Material product portfolio

12. Ability to think strategically and to lead

13. Team spirit

14. Experience in providing customer service

15. Customer service orientation

16. BS degree in Business Administration or related field
