The Manager, Scientific Engagement supports key strategic initiatives in Oncology & Infectious Diseases, including global medical affairs advisory boards, external funding (grants and sponsorships), external expert engagement & insights initiatives. Reporting to the Scientific Engagement Lead, thus ensuring all the initiatives are aligned with the company’s strategy and delivered with high quality. The manager will work closely with line manager, other Medical Excellence team members and cross-functional teams, including Global Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, and Global Clinical Development, to support and execute initiatives that elevate the visibility of the company’s scientific leadership and accelerate the delivery of innovative therapies.
Advisory Board Management: Working together with Global Medical Affairs team and Global Clinical Development team to support global medical advisory boards across oncology & infectious disease portfolios, ensuring logistical and operation execution.
External Expert Engagement: Involved in engagement activities with key external experts, medical societies, and academic institutions to support evidence generation, advisory input, insights gathering, and collaborative research initiatives. Ensure that expert interactions align with corporate priorities and are conducted in a compliant manner.
External Funding Management (Grants & Sponsorships): Manage the global grants and sponsorships requests, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
External Expert Congress Engagement: Working together with the congress lead and cross-functional teams to support planning and execution of key congresses.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Global Medical Affairs, Global Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and Corporate Communications, to support external engagement activities and to drive efficient planning as appropriate.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all activities related to external funding and expert engagement comply with global regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry guidelines.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, or a related field required. Advanced degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD) or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, with significant experience in managing external funding, expert engagement, advisory boards, etc. Knowledge of oncology and infectious diseases desired.
External Expert Engagement: Experience engaging with external experts, including key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical societies, and academic institutions.

Compliance Expertise: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards for external funding and expert engagement.
