Project Manager Road & Gravel
Summary
In this role you will lead global cross functional teams to plan and deliver bikes on time and with high quality. You will coordinate internal and external resources to ensure decision making channels are clearly defined, adhere to process, and drive product plan excellence.
Main Tasks
1. Lead multiple global product development teams through the bike product development process to bring bike projects to market on time
2. Maintain accountability and process adherence to ensure consistent ways of working across teams and projects
3. Lead teams through successful kickoffs to define product requirements and rider needs, resulting in clear and concise Concept Phase plans
4. Develop interdependent program timelines with input from all teammates and gain buy off and agreement of ultimate plan
5. Identify critical path items to maintain forward progress towards goals while handling tradeoffs throughout execution
6. Build action plans to eliminate identified risks and blockers
7. Drive clear and consistent communication to all areas of the business relating to project status and health
8. Assist in continuous improvements projects to further develop the processes and tools needed to take product development to the next level
9. Coach, mentor and empower project team members to take positive action & accountability for their work
Requirements
10. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations Leadership, or Business Management preferred
11. PMP Certification
12. 2-5 years of direct project management or product development experience in faced-paced, innovative, technical product industries
13. Extensive experience and exposure to multiple technical product fields and manufacturing methods
14. Experience working with multiple global locations and understanding of cultural differences and needs
15. Specific experience influencing and collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain
16. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
17. Experience with PLM systems, task management tools (e.g. Jira), and Project Management software (MS Project or similar)
18. Curiosity or interest in cycling
