What you will be doing We are looking for a Senior Project Lead / Account Manager who will own strategic client relationships and lead complex digital projects from inception to completion. In our agency setup, this hybrid role combines account ownership both commercial and strategic with hands-on delivery leadership. Role purpose Manage complex digital projects end-to-end, ensuring scope, quality, schedule, and risk control, and lead discovery phases to produce clear roadmaps and high-quality artifacts. Cultivate strong client relationships and create a framework that enables PMs/POs to progressively take on more ownership. Key responsibilities Account and commercial: Own Project P&L, including forecasting, revenue recognition, pricing, and invoicing with Finance & Legal Team. Drive account growth by identifying upsell opportunities and fostering follow-on engagements; partner with RevOps Team on renewals and expansion. Stakeholder Management: Advise C-level executives, track value metrics and manage critical escalations. Delivery and governance: Manage scope, roadmap, quality, and risk; coordinate internal/partner teams and staffing plans. Hands-on leadership: Ensure high-quality discovery, roadmaps, backlogs, and acceptance criteria; focus on meaningful documentation and enable team success through clear guidance and resources. Pre-sales and contracting: Shape tailored solutions, build proposals, and draft/negotiate SOWs. People and capability: Coach PMs/POs; evaluate standards and way of working; create frameworks to transition delivery ownership to PMs/POs to ensure scalable growth within the team. We need you to have What you bring Must-haves 5 years of experience delivering and /or leading complex digital projects, with at least 2 years involving account and commercial ownership. Completed university degree in business informatics, business administration, or equivalent experience. Background in an agency, professional services, or consulting environment (project business) is a plus. Demonstrable budget and margin ownership; strong in forecasting, revenue recognition, billing, and change control. Proficient in project scoping, estimation, and pricing strategies, including drafting and negotiating statements of work (SOWs) for time-and-materials, fixed price, and retainer models. Confident stakeholder and escalation management up to C - level; clear, bilingual communication (German/English). Solid understanding of modern software delivery (agile/hybrid, SDLC, cloud/SaaS, integration patterns/APIs, e commerce/CMS) to orchestrate teams effectively. Strong analytical and commercial skills: margin focus, scenario planning, and risk/revenue management (incl. T&M revenue risks). Experience with resource planning/staffing and cross-team coordination. Nice-to-haves Certifications: PMP/PMI/PRINCE2; PSM/PSPO/ SAFe ; ITIL; Key Account Management/Consultative Selling. Ability to consult and train clients in the use of advanced applications and complex systems, ensuring optimal implementation and value realization. Experience with MarTech /CRO/Analytics and AI-powered solutions; knowledge of data protection/GDPR. Practice coordinating vendors/partners on the client side.
