For more information on Dexter Magnetic Technologies, please visit: https://www.dextermag.com/ Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position: The Production & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for building Dexter Magnetic Technologies GmbH/PERMAG’s manufacturing capability in Europe by establishing production processes, transferring technical know-how from U.S. sites, and ensuring a robust operational foundation at the new facility in Mannheim. This role coordinates the transfer of production expertise from existing U.S. operations - including magnetization technologies, precision machining standards and assembly processes - and adapts them to European requirements, covering production layouts, supplier interactions, qualification procedures, logistics flows and operator training. The position ensures that PERMAG Europe becomes a fully capable, scalable and efficient manufacturing location for precision magnetic parts and assemblies, aligned with quality, cost and delivery standards. Major Responsibilities : Ensure structured technology transfer from U.S. operations and support knowledge dissemination within the European team. Develop and implement manufacturing concepts and production layouts for precision magnetic parts and assemblies. Coordinate installation, commissioning and validation of production equipment (e.g., CNC, EDM, grinding, magnetizing, assembly stations). Define and document process standards, work instructions and quality procedures. Establish and optimize logistic flows, material handling, warehouse concepts and inventory control in coordination with global supply chain. Support supplier selection, technical qualification and performance monitoring together with Quality and Procurement. Lead lean and process improvement initiatives (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Design-to-Manufacture, cost optimization). Support production planning, scheduling, capacity analysis and material planning. Train operators and production staff in processes, work instructions and equipment operation. Responsibilities may evolve in line with business needs, within the scope of this role. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or equivalent field. Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in production planning or industrialization; ideally precision manufacturing and complex assembly Experience with supplier development, process qualification, factory ramp-ups and logistic processes Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of modern metal manufacturing technologies, including CNC machining (turning, milling) and precision finishing processes (grinding, cleaning) Understanding of tolerances, material behavior and process capability in precision manufacturing. Experience with assembly or build-to-print processes Familiarity with ERP systems and documentation of production processes. Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing / 5S / continuous improvement in a production environment. Knowledge of quality and manufacturing standards Language Skills: German (B2–C1), English (B2–C1) Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000
