As our (Senior) Account Manager DACH/Europe, you'll play a key role in turning that vision into reality — building trusted relationships with new and existing customers, guiding them from first engagement through successful adoption, and helping organisations discover OpenProject as a sustainable open source alternative.
Tasks
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospects and clients, with a focus on German-speaking customers, by identifying and tailoring solutions to their individual needs
* Conduct demo sessions (in person and remote) based on customer requirements
* Negotiate tender and contract terms to meet both client and company needs
* Lead Proof of Concepts at large organisations, managing stakeholders and providing training and consulting support
* Represent OpenProject at conferences, delivering talks, participating in podcasts and interviews, and connecting with clients and partners
* Collaborate with our partner network to deliver the best solutions for new customers
* Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Support, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure coordinated execution
* Communicate clearly and proactively in a remote-first environment, adapting your message to different audiences
Requirements
* Native-level German and fluent English (our business language); French or Spanish is a plus
* Proven experience in sales or customer success with a track record of meaningful outcomes
* Strong communication and active listening skills — able to present and influence credibly at all levels, including C-suite
* Solid technical and product understanding and genuine curiosity about how things work
* Ability to collaborate confidently with specialists and stakeholders across disciplines
* Experience working in a remote-first environment with a high degree of autonomy
* Passion for Open Source
* Familiarity with OpenProject or Jira is a plus, but not required
