HVDC Site Quality Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HVDC Site Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and control at one of our high-profile HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks, guaranteeing the successful execution of HVDC substation and transmission projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Quality Management & Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Quality Plan (SQP) in alignment with project requirements.
* Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to international quality standards, including ISO 9001, IEC, and IEEE HVDC specifications.
* Site Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular quality inspections, audits, and surveillance of construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
* Defect Prevention & Control: Identify quality risks and non-conformities, implement corrective/preventive actions, and manage NCR (Non-Conformance Report) resolution .
* Document Control & Reporting: Maintain QA/QC documentation, conduct root cause analysis, and prepare quality reports for senior management and stakeholders.
* Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with engineering, construction, HSE, and project management teams to ensure quality best practices.
* Supplier & Subcontractor Oversight: Ensure all materials, components, and workmanship from vendors and subcontractors meet project specifications.
* Training & Continuous Improvement: Lead quality awareness training for site personnel and drive improvements based on lessons learned.
Required Qualifications & Experience
âś… Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field .
âś… Experience: 5+ years in quality management within HVDC, power transmission, or substations .
âś… Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, or equivalent (preferred).
âś… Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVDC technology, power transmission systems, and substation construction processes .
âś… Software Proficiency: Familiarity with QA/QC tools, SAP, MS Office, and document control software .
âś… Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills with a strong focus on detail and process improvement.
