A leading global general contractor specializing in Data Center design and construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution phase of large-scale Data Center projects (> €300 million). This role is critical to ensuring successful delivery of complex hyperscale infrastructure within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the execution phase of Data Center construction projects, ensuring compliance with design, contractual obligations, and client requirements.
* Manage project budgets and schedules (including resource planning and cost control for projects exceeding €300M).
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning) and external stakeholders.
* Ensure quality and safety standards are implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
* Oversee subcontractor performance, resolve technical and contractual issues, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
* Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies.
* Prepare and validate project documentation : progress reports, planning updates, contractual deliverables.
* Lead client meetings and maintain strong communication with international stakeholders.
* Support commissioning and handover activities to operations teams.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Education : Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil) or equivalent.
* Experience : Minimum 8-10 years in project management for large-scale industrial or Data Center projects, ideally with a general contractor or EPC company.
* Proven track record in construction execution and team leadership on projects > €100M.
* Strong knowledge of Data Center systems (electrical, HVAC, TCE).
* Languages : Fluent English and German (written and spoken).
* Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools (MS Project, Primavera), and familiarity with BIM platforms.
* Certifications : PMP or equivalent is a plus.
