About the Role
As a Service Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely, efficient, and cost-effective procurement of service spare parts for our Service Main Warehouses and for direct customer deliveries worldwide.
You will drive supplier performance, strengthen strategic procurement processes, and support our service teams with high-quality, on-time material supply. Key Responsibilities
Operational Procurement
* Purchase spare parts from external and internal suppliers to support global service operations.
* Coordinate closely with operational planning, service managers, and suppliers.
* Ensure continuous follow-up and expediting to guarantee on-time delivery and full transparency.
* Arrange and monitor direct deliveries (drop shipments) to high-profile customers.
Supplier Management & Improvement
* Identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes, improve supplier reliability, and reduce overall costs.
* Develop and track supplier KPIs, enabling data-driven performance assessments.
* Lead strategic initiatives such as supplier consolidation, onboarding of new suppliers, and risk mitigation.
* Serve as the main point of contact for designated suppliers, strengthening day-to-day collaboration and long-term partnerships.
Data, Compliance & Issue Resolution
* Create comprehensive supplier performance overviews (quality, cost, delivery times).
* Resolve invoice discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, or receipts.
* Support continuous improvement and ensure alignment with internal standards and best practices.
Your Profile
* 3–5 years experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or supplier management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
* Excellent organizational and planning abilities; structured, process-oriented approach.
* Professional proficiency in German and English (spoken and written).
* Confident working with MS Office; experience with ERP systems and databases is preferred.
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and meet demanding deadlines.
* Dynamics D365 is desirable
