Description and Requirements
The ISG category manager develops and drives ISG category strategy, product assortment, and optimizes pricing to identify growth opportunities and maximize profitability across our server, storage and solutions product lines.
Your responsibilities:
1. SME on the ISG product portfolio and market specifics for the DACH territory
2. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape
3. Strong alignment with territory /market leadership on priorities and focus areas across all customer segments
4. Create, own and communicate a strong quarterly plan with product selections, pricing strategy (including PFV), promotional and campaign roadmaps
5. Collaboration with the sales teams and enabling them with all category tools and levers, including market intelligence
6. Identify top-selling configurations for servers, storage and solutions in the markets
7. Prepare quarterly sales-in/sales-out planning in cooperation with the distribution and channel team
8. Prepare an accurate portfolio forecast and transition planning, and provide the forecast to the EMEA category to ensure seamless supply
9. Align with marketing on efficient marketing campaigns, manage MDFs and ensure good marketing presence to through distribution
10. Provide feedback to EMEA category managers on market specifics and articulate needs
11. Constantly monitor results and propose corrective actions if needed
Position Requirements:
12. 5+ years of product and/or business management experience with technology products, ideally from ISG
13. Strong understanding of channel management or channel-based sales models
14. Analytical skills, experience with financial management and P&L, creating business plans
15. Professional fluency in English
16. Excellent communication, negotiation and collaboration skills, ability to build alliances
17. Problem-solving mindset
18. The role requires travel (40%).
