Your mission
The Project Manager will be reporting to the CEO and plays a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of new build locomotive projects from contract signature through to warranty completion. This position combines strong commercial acumen with solid technical understanding of rolling stock operations. Acting as the main interface between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, the Project Manager drives execution, ensures compliance with contractual obligations, and safeguards the company’s commercial and operational interests.
Key tasks
Project Leadership & Commercial Management
* Act as the commercial lead for new build locomotive projects.
* Ensure the execution of purchase contracts in line with agreed budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
* Manage contractual deliverables and maintain full oversight of commercial obligations.
* Lead and coordinate preparation of Variation Orders (VOs) and associated commercial documentation.
* Negotiate and follow up on contractual amendments, claims, and warranty matters.
Planning & Reporting
* Develop and maintain project timelines and deliverable schedules.
* Monitor and report project progress, risks, and mitigation actions to management and key stakeholders.
* Prepare a monthly internal project report summarizing commercial, technical, and operational status, including input from Project Engineering.
* Maintain up-to-date documentation for management reviews and audits.
Internal Project Coordination
* Coordinate maintenance readiness, including organization setup and warranty coordinator assignment.
* Oversee insurance, compliance, and risk management aspects related to active projects.
* Track Sales Team progress on developing marketing materials, tender submissions, and contracts.
* Ensure smooth collaboration across departments: Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Maintenance.
Warranty & Performance Monitoring
* Monitor warranty performance across active contracts and ensure timely issue resolution.
* Analyse recurring issues and coordinate with technical teams to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Your profile
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
* At least 8–10 years of experience in project management within the locomotive or rolling stock industry.
* Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects.
* Strong understanding of maintenance concepts, contract management, and warranty processes.
* Familiarity with European railway standards and industry practices.
* Excellent commercial and contractual understanding.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
* Structured, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
* Fluent in English; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
