DSJ Global have partnered with a globally recognised Tier 1 automotive supplier to hire several key procurement professionals (m/f/d) as part of a major expansion, based in Leipzig, Germany.
As part of a procurement transformation, these permanent roles offer the opportunity to shape strategy, define best practices, and influence the future direction of purchasing across a highly innovative product portfolio in smart transportation, smart infrastructure and software engineering.
With several specialised plants under development, we are seeking experienced professionals across the following functions:
Open Roles:
Project Buyers (m/f/d) - to support plant construction and CAPEX procurement
Commodity Managers (m/f/d) - for core manufacturing categories such as injection moulding, stamping, die casting, machining, and semiconductors
Category Managers (m/f/d) - to lead category strategies, supplier mapping, and long-term sourcing frameworks
This is a rare opportunity to be part of a full-scale procurement build-out where your input will directly influence systems, supplier base, and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement sourcing strategies across assigned categories or projects
Build and manage supplier relationships for both local and international sourcing
Lead contract negotiations, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and project teams
Drive process improvements and contribute to the development of a high-performing procurement function
Qualifications:
Proven procurement experience within the automotive or manufacturing sector
Strong knowledge in one or more of the relevant commodities or capital project buying
German fluency (C1+) is a bonus, not a requirement.
Ability to work onsite at the Leipzig location
Additional Advantages:
Experience in greenfield projects or procurement transformation environments
