The Data & Connectivity Product Owner (m/f/d) is responsible for defining, refining, and driving the delivery of software solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives.
This role bridges business strategy and engineering execution by translating requirements into actionable development work and ensuring high-quality product delivery. Within the Data Fabric & Connectivity function there will be a range of service and capabilities being focused on including API gateway - internal and external, data management - File Management, Structured data and Data Transformation services.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and refine product requirements aligned with business and customer needs, translating high-level strategy into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Act as the primary interface between stakeholders and development teamsOwn and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring regular grooming, clear prioritization based on business value, and alignment across teamsSupport end-to-end delivery by defining acceptance criteria, participating in sprint planning and execution, tracking progress, ensuring feature quality, and resolving technical dependencies and questionsCollaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering/R&D, Sales, Field Teams, and Application Engineers to align deliverables with broader platform and portfolio strategyRepresent customer workflows and real-world use cases, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and compliant with regulatory requirements where applicableDrive continuous improvement by identifying product gaps, contributing to testing and validation (, fit-for-use), and enhancing Agile delivery processesMay also develop and deliver technical training for support teams, including Field Service and Remote Support EngineersQualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in science-related field, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline5+ years of professional experience, including at least 2+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or equivalent roleStrong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologiesFluent in both written and spoken EnglishExperience with cloud and SaaS-based software productsProven ability in user story development and backlog managementCDS, SDMS, LIMS, and ELN experience a plusFamiliarity with UI/UX design principlesUnderstanding of technical software architectures (preferred for technical Product Owner roles)Why Join Us?
