We are a medium-sized company based in Wuppertal with 145 employees. For over 75 years, we have been one of the leading manufacturers of color compounds for the plastics processing industry.

Our mission? We bring color to life! We produce Masterbatches, powders, and liquid colors that plastic processors use to color their products. From bright toys to colorful household items and vibrant automotive accessories—our products can be found everywhere.

Requirements
  • Educational Background: You have a degree in business administration, sales, or a comparable qualification. A technical background combined with commercial expertise is a strong advantage.
  • Professional Background: You have proven experience in international sales, ideally within the plastics, chemical, or manufacturing industry.
  • Customer & Market Expertise: You bring strong experience in managing key accounts and developing new business, preferably within the French market. Experience with customers in the packaging industry is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: You are a strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to act as an interface between different stakeholders.
  • Language Skills: You are fluent in French and English, German is mandatory.
  • Technical Affinity: You understand technical products and can advise customers on product applications and developments.
  • Working Style: You are self-driven, solution-oriented, and comfortable working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Manager at Finke Colors, you will report to the Sales Director and work closely with the teams in Development, Quality and Customer Service.

You will be the first point of contact for our customers, building trust in our product and in us as a business partner.

Business Development:

  • Acquiring new customers in the French market
  • Expanding existing business and identifying growth opportunities

Key Account Management:

  • Management and development of existing customers, especially our French key client and its processors

Project and Technical Support:

  • Coordination and support of customer projects and developments
  • Acting as a technical advisor to customers
  • On-site support during sampling and product trials at Finke
  • On-site technical troubleshooting at the customer’s location

Commercial Activities:

  • Preparation and follow-up of quotations
  • Negotiation of specifications and requirement documents
  • Handling of customer claims and crisis management situations
  • Monitoring of outstanding payments and dunning process
