Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Operate passenger and freight locomotives in accordance with scheduled timetables and operational procedures.
* Monitor train speed, signaling systems, and onboard safety mechanisms to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Perform comprehensive pre-departure and post-arrival inspections of locomotives to verify mechanical and operational readiness.
* Maintain clear and accurate communication with control centers, station personnel, and maintenance teams.
* Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, operational standards, and environmental regulations.
* Report technical issues, system anomalies, or incidents immediately to the appropriate authorities.
Requirements
* Anabin H+ recognized degree or completed vocational training in railway operations or a closely related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a locomotive or railway driver.
* German language proficiency at B1 level (mandatory).
* Valid EU Train Driver’s License (preferred) or demonstrated willingness to obtain certification.
* Flexibility to work rotating shifts and operate across various routes within NRW.
