To drive this transformation, we’re looking for a Product Owner – Connected Products who will own the digital app features for IoT-enabled BRITA devices.
You connect hardware, software, and user experience. As Product Owner, you own all app‑relevant digital features for our Connected Products — from concept to release. You are the central point of contact for app-related topics in cross‑functional teams and collaborate closely with Product Management, R&D, and Development.
What You’ll Do
Product Ownership & Interfaces
1. Own all app-relevant digital features for IoT and connected products
2. Act as the main app-side contact in cross-functional project teams
3. Align scope, priorities, and roadmap with Product Management
4. Collaborate with R&D on architecture, interfaces, and feasibility
Backlog & Delivery
5. Translate requirements into clear user stories and a structured backlog
6. Prioritize and manage the backlog for Connected Products
7. Support sprint planning, refinements, and reviews
8. Ensure all features meet quality, performance & stability standards
Portfolio & Scalability
9. Ensure consistent digital experiences across products, generations & markets
10. Keep connected product functionality coherent within a multi-product app
11. Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform scalability
What you bring to the table
Experience
12. 3–5 years as Product Owner/Manager in digital or mobile app environments
13. Proven experience delivering iOS/Android apps in agile setups
14. Experience with IoT, connected devices, or smart ecosystems
15. Strong understanding of software delivery, APIs & app–device integration
16. Experience in cross-functional, international teams
17. Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
Technical Understanding
18. Basic knowledge of IoT architectures, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi & pairing flows
19. Understanding of app release processes and app stores
20. Familiarity with UX/UI fundamentals
Background & Mindset
21. Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s + relevant experience)
22. Fluent in English; German is a plus
23. Ownership mindset, analytical approach, strong communication skills
24. Collaborative, pragmatic problem-solver
25. Passion for IoT, digital innovation & great user experiences 💡
