TECHNICAL BUYER

Context
As part of a maternity leave replacement, Fallprotec is looking for an experienced Technical Buyer to ensure continuity of purchasing operations, secure supply chains, and manage supplier relationships for key categories, with a strong expertise required in transport purchasing.
Main Responsibilities
Transport Purchasing (high priority)
* Manage and optimize transport-related purchases (road, express, courier, import/export, etc.)
* Negotiate rates and conditions with carriers and freight forwarders
* Analyze performance (costs, lead times, disputes, quality) and propose improvement plans
* Secure Europe/Asia flows and contribute to the robustness of the supply chain
* Work closely with Fallprotec and SolarCleano purchasing teams in Europe, Asia, and India to develop a cohesive global strategy meeting customer expectations.
Technical & Industrial Purchasing
* Manage purchases for technologies and categories such as:
* Plastic injection
* Machining
* Aluminium injection
* Fasteners (screws/assembly)
* Electrical components
* Any other technology is a plus
* Source, qualify, and select new suppliers (Europe and Asia)
* Launch and manage RFQs, compare offers, negotiate (price, deadlines, Incoterms, quality)
* Work with internal teams (Engineering/Production/Quality/Logistics) to secure technical and industrial choices
Supplier Management & Contracting
* Manage daily relationships with current suppliers (monitoring, escalation, problem-solving)
* Draft, update, and secure contracts (commercial terms, NDAs, frameworks, etc.)
* Monitor supplier risks (quality, capacity, dependence, compliance) and propose corrective actions
ERP Management and Reporting (Odoo)
* Use Odoo for purchasing management: orders, suppliers, conditions, tracking
* Update purchasing data (price, lead time, MOQ, Incoterms, etc.)
* Ensure regular reporting: savings, supplier performance, OTIF transport, risks, and actions
Desired Profile
* Proven experience in purchasing, with strong expertise in transport purchasing (essential)
* Experience in technical/industrial purchasing (at least several of the following categories: plastic injection, machining, aluminium injection, fasteners, electrical components)
* Expertise in sourcing practices and international negotiations (Europe and Asia)
* Contract management skills: ability to draft and secure purchasing contracts
* Strong proficiency in an ERP system, ideally Odoo (or equivalent ERP with fast adaptation capability)
* Rigour, autonomy, prioritization skills, excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work cross-functionally
Key Skills
* Transport & international logistics negotiation
* Supplier sourcing (Europe/Asia)
* Reading and understanding technical constraints (industrial processes)
* Purchasing contract management (frameworks, terms, NDAs)
* Cost analysis / TCO / supplier performance
* ERP use (Odoo) + Excel/Google Sheets
Languages
* French: Fluent
* English: Professional level (communication across Europe/Asia)
* Any other language is a plus
