Responsible for leading the successful operational execution of global, cross-functional Tech Ops projects of strategic importance to CSL’s product portfolio, ensuring delivery against defined scope, timelines, budget, and quality requirements.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Support the execution of cross-functional project plans in alignment with defined project strategy and objectives
2. Translate project strategy into detailed operational plans, including scope, timelines, resource plans, and deliverables
3. Drive day-to-day project management activities across global, matrixed teams to ensure timely and quality delivery
4. Develop, maintain, and control project documentation, including schedules, resource forecasts, budgets, and risk registers
5. Monitor project performance against plan (timeline, budget, scope) and proactively implement corrective actions where required
6. Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate critical topics in a structured and timely manner
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information in project management systems, ensuring transparency and traceability of decisions, actions, and changes
8. Analyze critical path, evaluate scenarios, and challenge assumptions to enhance robustness and predictability of project plans
9. Prepare high-quality, concise project updates and reports for senior stakeholders
10. Coordinate cross-functional alignment and ensure effective communication across stakeholders
11. Support continuous improvement of project management practices, tools, and processes
12. Provide informal guidance and knowledge sharing to less experienced project managers or team members
Qualifications & Experience
13. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field
14. Preferred: Advanced degree (MSc, PhD) or MBA
15. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred
16. 8+ years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
17. 3–5 years of experience managing cross-functional projects in a global, matrixed environment
18. Solid understanding of drug development, manufacturing, and Tech Ops processes
19. Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality expectations
20. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills
21. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence without authority
22. Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organization
23. Proficient in project management tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft Project or equivalent)
