KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Solutions Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day The growing number of decentralized renewables is making it much more difficult to ensure reliable and stable grid operation. Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) are the perfect solution for increasing the reliability of AC grids, ensuring stability, and boosting transmission efficiency. Siemens Energy supports customers around the world with innovative FACTS to help them master the challenges of energy transitions. But honestly, we can’t do it alone! Transforming the entire energy system requires you to play a part.How You’ll Make an Impact

1. You will develop FACTS turnkey projects from the first idea in customers mind till successful signature. These projects can be several hundred millions worth.
2. Your prime task will be technical sales for the global market for STATCOM and E-STATCOM with supercapacitors, with special focus on eSTATCOM in the USA.
3. You will carry out pre-qualifications and provide budget offers.
4. You will prepare the sales strategy for projects including pricing.
5. You will also be in the lead to negotiating and successfully close the contracts together with our commercial experts.
6. Close cooperation with associated engineering, tender and project execution departments is the key to developing a tailored concept to the customers’ requirements as the basis for a successful project development.
7. During the whole time, you will build up and maintain relationships by making frequent visits to our worldwide customers' decision makers. You will also cooperate with our regional organization providing local support and customer intimacy.
8. As a technical sales expert, you will also consistently monitor market development in the assigned sales area and maintain the project lists on an ongoing basis.

What You Bring

9. Master's degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineering, preferably with a focus on high-voltage engineering.
10. Long term sales experience in electrical energy transmission turnkey solution business.
11. Technical knowledge in the field of FACTS, especially power electronics based STATCOMS will be an absolute plus.
12. High‑voltage, control & protection or system‑design engineering experience, hands‑on control & protection commissioning will be an asset.
13. Strong know‑how in supercapacitors will be a major advantage in this role.
14. Willingness for international travel and visits to customers plant sites for up to 20%.
15. Experience in leading teams across country borders.
16. Comfortable in presenting in front of customers and internal top management.
17. Proficient in English. Additional German skills are a strong upside.
