Director of Data Centre Construction & Design | Projects – Germany
We're hiring on behalf of a leading global developer with an expanding footprint in Europe’s digital infrastructure space. This is a rare client-side opportunity for an experienced Project Director / Construction Leader to join a high-performing Data Centre team and deliver complex, sustainable builds across Germany.
You’ll take the lead on projects from commercial close through commissioning, overseeing everything from design finalisation to contractor management and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities
Lead full lifecycle delivery of data centre construction projects – tender, design, build, and commission
Engage with end-users and technical teams to ensure lease agreements translate into technical success
Own budgeting, scheduling, resource planning and risk mitigation from a top-down perspective
Drive contractor performance, resolve disputes, and manage FIDIC-based claims/change orders
Build and lead a growing German delivery team, collaborating with pan-European stakeholders
Ensure sustainable, scalable, and client-aligned project outcomes
What We’re Looking For
~10+ years’ experience in Data Centre project delivery – ideally on the client or GC side
~ Proven track record delivering large-scale, mission-critical builds in Europe
~ Strong understanding of contracts, change management, and risk mitigation (FIDIC or similar)
~ Leadership style that’s collaborative, hands-on, and solutions-driven
~ Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
