We are Siemens
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our software.
Successful product development requires innovation, strong market understanding, high quality, and the right timing, while remaining cost‑efficient and sustainable. Teamcenter Product Cost Management enables early‑stage cost, carbon, and value engineering by providing transparency into product and tool sustainability and profitability.
Are you a Senior Software Release & Quality Manager seeking an opportunity to join a product segment with continuous growth and bring in your skills to take it to next level? You'll be part of one Agile Release Train (ART) - an organizational setup where multiple Scrum teams (6 teams, circa 40 contributors) collaborate on a common product and technology stack. The ART operates in Program Increments (PIs), which are time‑boxed planning and delivery cycles. Each PI aligns all teams on shared objectives, enables cross‑team coordination, and ensures predictable, integrated delivery across the train. Within the PIs, we conduct Scrum Sprints.
If you see yourself learning, growing, and succeeding in this unique position then we'd love to hear from you!
Please note that, due to the current integration framework, this opportunity is currently available exclusively to employees of Altair and DISW. While there is a possibility that the position may be made available to all Siemens employees through a future external posting, this is not guaranteed. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this transitional period. This communication does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment opportunities beyond the current scope.
You'll make a difference by:
* Own the integrated release plan, including milestones such as content freeze, RTM, packaging, documentation, and customer readiness.
* Proactively identify and resolve cross‑team and cross‑organization dependencies that impact delivery.
* Facilitate and continuously improve PI Planning, PI execution, and PI retrospectives.
* Balance must‑have scope, delivery timing, and quality, actively steering work into main releases vs. patches/hotfixes.
* Define and apply clear criteria for what belongs in a main release versus a patch or hotfix.
* Reduce patch and hotfix volume over time by improving early quality signals and release readiness.
* Own the release‑level verification and validation strategy and quality KPIs.
* Establish clear release readiness and completeness criteria.
* Organize test days and early adopter environments to drive early quality feedback.
* Partner with Architecture on security topics (pen‑tests, vulnerability tracking, regulatory clearance).
* Provide clear, audience‑appropriate reporting to Product Management, Portfolio, and Senior Management.
* Lead 3rd‑level support engineers: line management plus prioritization, coaching, performance feedback, escalation handling, and maintaining a tight feedback loop between customer issues/defect trends and release planning.
Your success is grounded in:
* Coordinating multiple agile teams (5–8 teams range) in a product or program
* Solid background in enterprise software release and quality management
* Experience owning and presenting release‑level quality signals that enable confident, fact‑based release decisions with senior management
* Excellent communications with advanced English language Skills
* SAFe RTE and/or Project Management certification
* Software Development and Continuous Integration Expertise
