Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated PLM Product Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our PLM (Siemens Teamcenter) and associated applications. You will be representing IT to the business teams to ensure the PLM platform supports product development processes and meets regulatory and business requirements in a rapidly evolving, safety-critical environment.
Your mission during this flight:
* Product Ownership:
o Define and own the roadmap for Volocopter’s PLM ecosystem (i.e, Siemens Teamcenter, NX and related applications).
o Prioritize and deliver features and improvements based on cross-functional input and business value.
o Take responsibility for the Solution architecture and Non-functional requirements of PLM ecosystem aiming to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
* Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, airworthiness, supply chain, and production teams to align PLM functionalities with end-to-end product needs.
o Interface with internal and external stakeholders and implement functionalities to ensure PLM system support certification and traceability requirements.
o Lead, direct and manage the development teams in prioritizing the delivery of functional and non-functional requirements.
o Align with the DevOps team on the dependencies related to PLM maintenance, upgrade and deployment activities.
* Implementation & Optimization:
o Lead system configuration, customization, and integration with other enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, MES, ALM).
o Continuously improve usability, data governance, and workflow automation within the system.
* Process Development:
o Conduct workshops with internal stakeholders to brainstorm and advise end to end implementation of processes in Teamcenter related to change management, configuration control, BoM management, and digital thread enablement.
o Ensure that product data supports Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital twin strategies.
* Training & Support:
o Deliver user training programs, best practices, and knowledge-sharing resources.
o Serve as a point of escalation for PLM-related issues and enhancements.
o Establish and maintain application change management framework for PLM.
Qualifications
Check in your professional skills:
* Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
* 5+ years of experience in PLM (preferably Siemens Teamcenter) system implementation and management, ideally in aerospace, automotive, or another highly regulated industry.
* In-depth knowledge of PLM modules not only but also including requirements management, change management, BoM and BoP management, supplier management and Quality & compliance management.
* Knowledge of the end-to-end process value chain, data flow and compliance requirements in an R&D manufacturing environment
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., EASA, DO-178C/DO-254, ARP4754).
* Knowledge of environment architecture, Upgrade, Maintenance and deployment strategies of the PLM application.
* Experience in integrating PLM with ERP and MES applications (preferably using T4EA/T4S platform)
* Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Knowledge and understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
* Fluency in English required.
