The Opportunity

Be part of Hitachi Energy’s mission to inspire the next, advancing a sustainable energy future for all, as you lead Service Sales for BU Service at the country level in Germany.

Take on a pivotal leadership role within the Local Service Unit, shaping how we support customers across the full service lifecycle and positioning Hitachi Energy as a long‑term, trusted partner.

Act as a connector across businesses, driving a true approach in close collaboration with Product, Systems, and the HVDC, Power Electronics and Grid Automation Service teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact

1. Translate global and hub strategies into a clear, forward‑looking local service sales roadmap that accelerates profitable growth and strengthens installed base penetration.
2. Build Hitachi Energy’s position as a trusted long‑term service partner through authentic, sustainable customer relationships.
3. Lead, coach and develop the local Service Sales organisation — fostering high performance, engagement, curiosity and collaboration.
4. Identify untapped opportunities through market insight, data‑driven installed base analysis and close customer dialogue, bringing an entrepreneurial lens to what the business be.
5. Drive excellence in sales execution, forecasting, pricing and risk management, ensuring transparency and quality in every decision.
6. Serve as a visible change agent — motivating teams toward an exciting future even when the path is still emerging.
7. Bring eternal optimism, resilience and a solution‑oriented mindset, helping the organisation navigate uncertainty with confidence.
8. Role‑model Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety, integrity and sustainability, both internally and with customers.

Your Background

9. Solid experience in Service Sales within an OEM environment, ideally in the energy or electrical infrastructure sector with a focus on Installed Base.
10. Proven ability to lead service sales teams and deliver results across complex, multi‑product portfolios.
11. A naturally open‑minded, strategic and creative thinker who challenges the status quo and seeks new ways to unlock value.
12. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to explore new markets, develop new business models and shape future growth.
13. Experience working effectively in a matrix organisation, collaborating across functions, cultures and business units.
14. Strong customer focus, with the ability to build trust at all levels — from operational teams to senior decision‑makers.
15. Analytical and strategic mindset, comfortable using data to shape decisions, innovate and drive continuous improvement.
16. Demonstrated ability to inspire teams through change, ambiguity and transformation.
17. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; fluent English and German required.
