EEX offers a wide range of data services across the products traded at EEX and for data reported by third parties to EEX. Data customers include trading members of EEX but also other market participants, transmission system operators, regulatory authorities and academia. You will take over the responsibility of the strategic product “Market Data” within our product organization in combination with the ownership for key SaaS applications. Steward the product backlog and ensure outcome‑oriented, reliable delivery with your cross‑functional team, lead Scrum ceremonies, and manage continuous discovery & iteration.
Your tasks:
* You are experienced in the role as Product Owner and have the respective qualification and may also have PRINCE2® or PMI methodology qualifications. Additionally, you are no stranger to the energy market or exchange environment and are willing to grow into a multi-project steering role.
* Manage the full lifecycle of functional and technical topics with higher complexity
* Balance customer value, roll-out and client absorption capabilities, feasibility and risk across multiple initiatives.
* It is important that you identify and proactively manage risks, issues, critical paths and cross‑team dependencies; adjust scope and roadmap as needed.
* Build clear, trust‑based communication with internal and external stakeholders (including senior management) and align on priorities, timelines and success metrics.
* Coach and empower the team, foster accountability, data‑driven decisions and continuous improvement.
In doing so, you will actively help to develop market data products within energy and commodity markets, accompany product launches and, of course, receive a great deal in return for your outstanding performance from your team. Your skills:
* Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
* Proven Product Owner experience in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban); strong command of backlog management and delivery practices; certifications (e.g., Scrum PO, PRINCE2®, PMI) are a plus.
* Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management across business and technology.
* Ability to work independently with understanding the global picture while paying attention to the details that matter.
* Confident in project/program coordination, dependency management and release planning in multi‑team set-ups.
* Domain affinity: data business and/or commodity/energy markets; understanding of relevant regulatory context is an advantage.
* Proficiency in English and German, any additional language is a plus.
