Revenue Management Specialist Job Description
The key to our airline's success lies in optimizing revenue through effective pricing and yield management. As a Revenue Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Route Steering and Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with the hierarchy to define initial route steering and pricing strategies per dedicated route or segment.
* Booking Evolution Analysis: Track bookings evolution on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal perspective to monitor performance and objectives.
* Yield and Dynamic Steering Actions: Provide consistent yield and dynamic steering actions based on bookings patterns for all segment products to optimize revenue across the entire aircraft.
* KPI Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze frequently defined KPIs and provide interpretation of retail data by monitoring performance and flight contribution.
* Competition Price Monitoring: Monitor competition prices and analyze their impacts on the flight pickup curve.
* Business Rule Setup: Set up appropriate business rules in Revenue Management Systems to validate route forecasts and demand categorization for respective routes.
* Aircraft Capacity Optimization: Identify revenue opportunities for aircraft capacity optimization to maximize usage of flight capacity for the network.
* Stakeholder Communication: Ensure close collaboration with stakeholders, including Network Planning, Marketing, E-commerce-Sales, and Product Manager.
Requirements:
1. Education: Holder of a degree in Economics, Mathematics in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Experience: 3 years of experience in a similar function.
3. Airline Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge and experience in the Airline/TO industry.
4. Revenue Management Skills: Capability to set up relevant Revenue Management strategies taking into account various factors of influence.
5. Analytical Skills: Analytical skills and strong interest in figures/data and quantitative methods.
6. Results-Oriented: Results and performance-oriented.
7. Problem-Solving Attitude: Problem-solving attitude and critical thinking.
8. Math Skills: Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets, and performance statistics.
9. Software Skills: Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
10. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
11. Inventory and Revenue Management Systems: Knowledge in Inventory and Revenue Management Systems is desirable.
12. Critical Thinking: Show strong synthesis, analytical thinking, and be confident in working with reports and simulations.
