Process Planner / Production Planner, Automotive MTM (all genders)

The Sindelfingen branch of SWJ Germany GmbH is located in the heart of the automotive industry, surrounded by suppliers and logistics service providers. Our services range from logistics, assembly, process, layout, and factory planning projects in automotive and conventional mechanical engineering to complete end-to-end planning, evaluation, and support in the supply chain sector.
To strengthen our team, we are seeking a dedicated Process Planner / Production Planner (m/f/d) for a full-time position (35 hours/week) with experience in the automotive sector. Experience in the Mercedes-Benz environment is desirable. You will be responsible for the planning, optimization, and industrialization of modern manufacturing and assembly processes in demanding vehicle projects.
Your tasks
• Independently planning and scheduling new and existing production and assembly workstations
• Planning, analyzing, and optimizing manufacturing and assembly processes using lean principles and methods
• Conducting and evaluating MTM analyses, as well as determining and optimizing c-values and cycle times
• Synchronizing and desynchronizing work operations in assembly and pre-assembly areas
• Creating line, process, and work plans, as well as production documentation
• Analyzing and optimizing assembly processes with regard to efficiency, ergonomics, and occupational safety
• Supporting equipment planning and the procurement process
• Preparing results presentations, KPI evaluations, and deriving concrete recommendations for action
• Coordinating technical interfaces with development, production planning, factory planning, quality, and suppliers
• Managing and tracking measures as part of the continuous improvement process (CIP)
• Evaluation of product changes with regard to their impact on manufacturing
• Support during commissioning and ramp-up phases—both domestically and internationally
Your skills
• A successfully completed degree in engineering, automotive engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the automotive industry (OEM or Tier 1 supplier), preferably in assembly, process, or production planning
• Experience in the Mercedes-Benz environment is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of MTM, time management, and lean production. MTM certification or an MTM card is preferred.
• Experience in optimizing assembly and production processes
• Knowledge of digital planning systems and production planning tools such as DPE, ProPlan, Dialog, LTM, Process Simulate, Delmia, RobCAD, or comparable systems is desirable
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
• Structured, analytical, and independent work style
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and excellent teamwork abilities
• High level of commitment and willingness to collaborate nationally and internationally
• Very good German and good English skills
