In this role you will be directly supporting the Gas Services Central Global Customer Operations business by qualifying and developing piping system suppliers globally
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Support of cross-functional teams in supplier qualification through assessment of supplier capabilities, audits of quality management systems, and evaluation of processes
2. Leadership of Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) activities for commodity parts, including planning, tracking, and reporting of milestones, budgets, and resource requirements
3. Technical leadership and responsibility for the quality, safety, and compliance of welding activities related to piping systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
4. Development, review, and approval of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQR)
5. Execution of the role as Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC), including oversight of welding activities and compliance with PED 2014/68/EU Module H1 requirements
6. Monitoring, review, and acceptance of welding work and documentation within the PED 2014/68/EU Module H1 framework, ensuring compliance with applicable international codes and standards
What You Bring
7. Completed degree in welding engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable technical field; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered
8. Several years of professional experience in supplier quality management, quality management, or engineering within the power generation industry, including relevant experience in piping welding for industrial projects
9. Proven experience in supplier evaluation, qualification, product and process qualification, and technical supplier development, including extensive auditing experience
10. In-depth knowledge and practical experience in welding, inspection, and non-destructive testing methods, with relevant certifications ( IWE required; CWI / CSWIP and ISO 9712 Level 2 preferred)
11. Strong understanding of international fabrication, welding, and inspection codes and standards ( EN 13480, ISO 9606, ISO 15614, EN 1090, ASME, ASME Section V and IX, AWS
12. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis
