WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Dual-use products, chemical weapons conventions, explosive precursor regulations – everyone is talking about these challenges in global trade. With us, you're right in the middle of it! You are the expert providing consultation and support for trade compliance topics, as well as the project manager navigating trade compliance complexities in BASF projects such as mergers and acquisitions.
* In this role, you are primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintaining the necessary permits for BASF.
* You liaise with authorities to facilitate the application process for permits, effectively representing the company's interests throughout.
* In addition, you are tasked with responding to internal and external audits to verify that the company meets compliance standards and adheres to regulations.
* You also provide key guidance and training to various business units, enhancing their understanding of compliance issues and trade control procedures.
* Your role also involves driving and conducting testing to digitize and optimize trade control processes, using tools such as Bizagi.
* Finally, you oversee project management efforts to ensure that all business strategies and initiatives are aligned with trade control compliance requirements, thereby supporting BASF's operational integrity and reputation.
WHAT YOU OFFER
* ideally vocational training or bachelor's degree in a scientific field (chemistry, engineering, biology) or in customs and trade
* at least 2 years of trade compliance or regulatory experience
* profound knowledge in export controls or authority regulatory
* familiar with standard IT applications and a sound knowledge of SAP R/3 and SAP S4 HANA
* convincing communication skills as well as reliable German and secure English skills
