The role:
1. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Category Management processes across various retail channels.
2. Initiate, manage, and evaluate customer-specific Category Management projects to drive growth and efficiency.
3. Conduct and interpret market research and shopper insights to inform category strategies and tactical plans.
4. Analyze customer and category portfolios to identify opportunities for brand and channel optimization.
5. Develop actionable marketing and merchandising recommendations tailored to retailer and shopper needs.
6. Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing teams to align category strategies with broader business goals.
7. Support the development of channel-specific strategies by leveraging data-driven insights and market trends.
8. Contribute to shopper-centric projects at both local and European zone levels, ensuring consistency and impact.
9. Serve as a strategic partner to retail customers, driving joint value creation through tailored category solutions.
What you will bring:
10. University degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
11. Proven professional experience in Sales, Category Management, or a related commercial function.
12. Strong understanding of customer behavior, market dynamics, and retail environments.
13. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to derive actionable insights.
14. Confident, professional presence with strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
15. Fluent in German and English, with experience presenting and leading meetings in both languages.
16. Proficient in preparing presentations and conducting in-depth analyses using Excel.
17. Highly organized, self-driven, and able to work independently in a structured manner.
18. Skilled in the use of MS Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
19. Nice to have experience working with Nielsen & Yougov data.
