The Head of HR in Birkenstock Components takes ownership of all HR matters for both factories at Bernstadt and Markersdorf.
Responsibility
The Head of HR in Birkenstock Components is responsible for all tasks concerning HR from recruitment to performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary actions, development and works council.
Mission
* Supporting and advising in the management change process due to industrial renewal projects
* Good coordination of HR Office and build a strong team by training, counselling and coaching
Tasks and Responsibilities
Administration area
* Carrying out all necessary administrative duties
* Tracking the budget for human resources for permanent and temporary workers
* Monthly checking temporary workers status
* Follow salary review process in compliance with strategy of group: follow the activities for contracts, updates, and information letters
* Guarantee adequate support and constantly update the software tools such as HRONE, Time Management and SAP
* Follow absenteeism rate and develop strategies to reduce it
* Check the claims and errors in payroll and take measures to prevent these
Human Resource
* Develop and implement strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training, and development
* Build up a talent pipeline and recruit excellent staff
* Monitor team performance
* Follow Personal Development Plan: strategize programs and policies to enhance employee growth and satisfaction
* Support the change management process with strategic vision
* Maintain employee and workplace privacy
* Oversee all HR activities, initiatives, systems and tactics
* Ensure compliance with all applicable legal aspects and internal policies
* Invoke disciplinary actions when required and ensure correct termination procedures
* Act as first contact person and advisor in labour law matters and resolve individual labour law cases with the legal department
* Analyse data and report to the board and senior managers using HR metrics
* Participate in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars
Organisation HR Department
* Maintain and coordinate all activities within the HR department
* Build and lead a dynamic and motivated team
* Share news within the HR department daily and support routine tasks
* Recruit specialised team members
Works Council
* Collaborate with Works Council to establish a trustful relationship
* Resolve conflicts through positive and professional mediation
* Act as point of contact for employee relations and communicate with Works Council appropriately
* Establish a solution‑oriented approach with Works Council to ensure factory success
Requirements
* Experienced in human resources in a significant production environment
* Hands-on experience in managing HR topics, including payroll
* Ability to coach, mentor and advise to help employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals
* Comprehensive understanding and interpretation of local employment legislation
* Clear understanding of the role as a proactive HR service provider
* Empathy and sensitivity in interacting with employees and managers
* Confident appearance, highly collaborative style
* Willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams, both as a lead and a supporting team member
* Self-starter, well organised, solution‑oriented
* Experience in organisation and leading HR Office
* Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
* Sufficient knowledge of MS Office and SAP
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills in an international environment
* Fluent in German and English
